Book editing
“Where The Cotton Grows” is my first attempt writing a book for publication. A 12-year project, the book delves into a very personal story of my family who through life tragedies, lived lives bringing healing to others. When searching for someone to edit the draft manuscript, finding someone who not only had established editing competency, but as importantly, could connect with the story, was crucial to my decision. I found such a person in Jane Sutter, with whom I worked closely to reshape the flow of the story, strengthening the message and theme of the book. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a critical part of the publication process.”
Paul Vick, Author of “Where the Cotton Grows: A missionary calling leads a Baptist family on a fateful journey to China leaving a lasting legacy”
“Jane was instrumental and a true blessing in the editing of my book. I don’t consider myself to be much of a writer, and Jane was able to edit and offer suggestions to make my efforts look professional and something I am proud to share with others. Jane made me look good as far as being an author, and I am thankful beyond words. I highly recommend Sutter Communications to anyone needing professional and courteous help.”
Deacon Kevin R. Carges, Author of “From Darkness into Light: The Shana Campbell Story”
“I have always had a passion for writing; what I don’t have a passion for is editing. This can be a big problem when you want to continue publishing books. Enter Jane Sutter of Sutter Communications, who would turn into my savior. She was able to read my manuscript and help me fill in the holes, to look at things from a different point. In my mind it all flowed well and made sense, because I knew what I wanted it to say, but that’s not what I wrote. Jane understood where I was going and with a few simple questions she was able to redirect me. I never felt like she was criticizing my work; she was helping to make it better. It was a great pleasure working with her and seeing how she was able to help me transform my work into an even better piece of work.”

“In a recent employee survey, many on our team listed writing a book as a personal goal. When we later asked how many would actually get around to writing the book, no one thought they could find the time. Jane held a Lunch & Learn for Tipping Point staff and gave us simple, actionable tips for getting started, organizing our thoughts and 21st Century approaches to being published. Jane is a pleasant, warm and inclusive presenter who inspired many of us to give it a try.”
Michelle Ashby, CEO, Tipping Point Communications
Each month, Jane allocates a considerable amount of time for pro-bono work for non-profit organizations.
“Jane Sutter came to Saint’s Place two years ago and offered her experience in social media to promote our Ministry. It was indeed one of my best days. Jane mapped out a media plan to promote our Annual Sale, which is our largest fund-raiser. She succeeded in getting us extensive newspaper coverage and multiple television and radio spots. Her commitment did not stop at the sale. She joined our Advisory Board and chairs the PR Committee. Jane completely set up the Facebook page for Saint’s Place and posted numerous articles for the readers. It is because of Jane’s interest and professionalism that Saint’s Place is truly in the media throughout the year. We are so very grateful for what she does for Saint’s Place.”
Isabel Miller, Executive Director of Saint’s Place

She is not only a highly developed communication expert, but also someone who embodies foundational attributes like reliability, empathy and integrity.”
